What you need for your line-art pottery

  • Old planters, pots or vases
  • Leftover paint
  • Baking powder
  • large paintbrush
  • small paintbrush
  • Pencil

Step-by-step: How to give your old planters, pots and vases a line-art makeover

For this tutorial you can use any old vases or planters made of clay or glas. You can also use any kind of paint, from wallpaint to acrylic paint. To get started, make sure you clean your old pottery throughly, so the paint will stick to it nicely. You can also pre-sand it a little bit, but you dont have to.

draw the lines

Take your small brush and use the opposite color to draw your lines.

You can do this in any colors. Use a black base and white lines, or sand base and black lines, or a terracotta base and bright lines. Anything you like! After everything has nicely dried out, you can place your new pottery in your home. Depending on its shape, you use it for your plants, dried flowers or even candles. Maybe have it be a statement piece on its own. Enjoy!
